(Des Moines) A trial date is set for the wrongful death lawsuit involving an 11-year-old who died at Adventureland last year. Court records say the former Adventureland owners blame a plastic company for Michael Jaramillo’s drowning. They say the rafts did not include proper flotation bladders, and Crygenic Plastics Inc. didn’t warn the park about the risk. The family is suing Adventureland for 100 million dollars after the raft Michael was on malfunctioned and flipped. The jury trial is set to begin on March 11th, 2024.
