(Sidney) A Tabor, Iowa, man faces burglary and theft charges in Fremont County.
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jeffrey Brent Vanhouten on Monday on two counts of 3rd – Degree Burglary, one count of Fifth-Degree Theft, and one count of Ongoing Criminal Conduct.
According to the press release, Vanhouten operates a floral company, and he allegedly delivered flowers to a wedding in Omaha, Nebraska, by a couple from Tabor. Vanhouten returned to the couple’s residence in Tabor, and camera video showed he entered the home without permission during the wedding.
It is also alleged that Vanhouten entered a 2nd Fremont County home in October and was found inside the residence by the owner.
On a third occasion, Vanhouten allegedly entered the Fremont-Mills School in Tabor, where he entered several areas of the school without permission, caused damage to various things, and was seen leaving the school with unknown items.
Vanhouten is held at the Fremont County Jail on a $32,000 cash or surety bond.
