(Atlantic) The Atlantic Boys’ Basketball team held its first scrimmage and media day on Saturday. The Trojans return an experienced group from last year’s youthful squad.
Senior inside player Jackson McLaren returns to the floor for Atlantic. He says most of this year’s squad saw significant minutes on the floor this past season, and the chemistry is there. McLaren’s role is to defend the opposition inside the game.
The Trojans wrapped up their first week of practice last week.
McLaren says he is bigger this year, which should help his inside game.
McLaren says the goal is to lead and give 110 percent each day. McLaren played in 19-games last season and averaged nearly six points a game and four rebounds. The Trojans open the season at home on December 2 against Glenwood.
