(Creston) The Union County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle, injury accident on Sunday.
At 3:00 p.m. authorities were called to the intersection of Highway 25 and 240th Street. A 2015 Nissan Altima driven by 20-year-old Lillian Watkins, of Creston, was southbound on Highway 25 and attempted to make a U-turn. A 2005 Chrysler Town & Country driven by Alan Lawson, of Mound City, MO, was also southbound on Highway 25. The front of Lawson’s vehicle struck the left side of the Watkins vehicle.
One passenger, 53-year-old Jackie Lawson, of Mound City, MO, was transported by Corning Ambulance with minor injuries. Both drivers complained of injuries, but refused medical transport. A passenger in the Watkins vehicle also refused medical transport.
