Iowa State cruises past SE Missouri State in season opener

(Ames) Iowa State outscored SE Missouri State 21-0 in the 2nd half and rolled to a 42-10 victory on Saturday in Ames.

Hunter Dekkers passed for 293 yards and completed 25 of his 31 pass attempts. The West Sioux alum threw four touchdowns and had one interception. Jirehl Brock ran for 104 yards and a score on 16 carries. Xavier Hutchinson posted 128 yards and three TD’s on eight catches.

1-0 Iowa State travels to Iowa on September 10th.
