(Red Oak) Montgomery County Engineer Karen Albert reported at the board of supervisor’s meeting on Tuesday morning that the county received four Living Roadway Trust Fund grants. Albert says the grants are for $3,000 for herbicide equipment, $1.056 for equipment accessories for the chipper, $6,000 for a drop seeder, and $1,500 for chain saws for a total of $12,115.00.
Albert reported the Gardner Ranch Bridge project appears to be on schedule for completion on September 23.
Albert also reported the summer four-day work is ending. She mentioned the four-day summer schedule received good feedback and will likely be re-implemented next summer. Road crews will return to a five-day, eight-hour program next week.
Additionally, Albert reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. on September 7 at the engineer’s Office to discuss and possibly act on a Pipeline Ordinance.
