(Crescent) Two people were arrested on drug and other charges following a traffic stop in Pottawattamie County Tuesday morning.
The Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Office says 39-year-old Ashley Nichole Blank of Clarinda was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Child Endangerment, Possession of Contraband on the grounds of a Correctional Facility, and two counts of Camping Violation on Public Lands. She was also cited for expired registration on a travel trailer. 43-year-old Michael Gene Landon Jr. of Council Bluffs was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Child Endangerment and Providing False Information (He told Deputies his name was “Justin”).
According to the report, a Deputy conducted a traffic stop in the Casey’s General Store parking lot in Crescent for expired registration on a travel trailer camper being pulled by a Ford 150 pickup. Upon smelling the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle’s two subjects (Blank and Landon), both were detained. Drug Paraphernalia and marijuana were found inside the vehicle, which led to their arrests. Additionally, a Conservation officer arrived on location and had Ashley Blank charged with a camping violation as she did not pay for two days of camping at the Hitchcock Nature Center. Blank and Landon were transported to the Pottawattamie County Jail. While in the jail, staff found methamphetamine inside Blank’s property.
