(Mapletown) A 13-year-old teenager suffered life-threatening injuries in an ATV accident on Friday.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 8:28 p.m. on a private access road at 18288 Redwood Avenue in Mapleton. The juvenile male from Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, lost control of a 2003 Honda four-wheeler causing it to roll several times.
Siouxland Mercy Air Med airlifted the teen to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
