(Audubon) The 2022 county fair season is underway, a chance for 4H Clubs members and FFA chapter members to exhibit their projects. Often the stigma is that 4-H and FFA are just for farm kids.
KSOM on-air personality Frank Rizzo interviewed Abby VanAernam from the Audubon County Extension Office at the Audubon County Fairgrounds on Thursday. Van Aernam said 4-H is available to youth living in the city as well as on the farm.
Van Aernam heard from past 4H members that public speaking had helped them in many ways past their education years.
Emily Foran received a purple ribbon for extemporaneous speaking and qualified for the State Fair.
