(Atlantic) Atlantic senior Gannon O’Hara is taking his running talents to the next level. On Tuesday, the two-time state qualifier signed on with Hawkeye Community College.
Atlantic Activities Director Andy Mitchell kicked off the signing ceremony with the following comments.
O’Hara decided to sign with Hawkeye Community College on several former teammates now running at Hawkeye Community College and the educational opportunity.
O’Hara plans to study civil engineering and secured a summer internship with Snyder and Associates. Additionally, O’Hara points to Coaching as another factor in his decision to run for the Redtails.
OHara says credits his teammates throughout the years for their support.
Besides running track for four years, O’Hara played football for four years and basketball for one year. Gannon is the son of Molly and Michael O’Hara.
