(Atlantic) Atlantic senior Dayton Templeton is heading to Buena Vista University in Storm Lake to play college basketball.
Templeton, a guard averaged 13.7 points per game this past season, dished out 56-assists, and shot 35-percent from the field.
“I hope to get some minutes at the backup point guard position next season,” said Templeton. “They’re solid at that position right now. The coach believes in me and thinks I have a chance to get some playing time, so I‘m excited about that.”
Templeton joined the track team this season to stay in shape for the next level. “It’s going to be a great opportunity, to play for Buena Vista University, I’m excited, I knew track would help, and I am super excited.
“This summer I am going to work on getting better in every aspect of the game, especially shooting, and ball handling.”
Dayton scored 646-points during his three years playing for the Trojans. He plans to study education and become a teacher and a coach.
