(Atlantic) Lewis Central outscored Glenwood 144-134 for the Hawkeye Ten Conference boys track championship. The Glenwood girls posted a winning total of 165 points in the meet held Thursday in Atlantic.
Lewis Central and Glenwood engaged in tight boys team race the whole meet. The Titans vaulted to the front over the final couple of events with a runner-up 4X100 and a winning 4X400. Individual winners were Hunter Deyo in the Shot and Discus plus Braylon Kammrad in the 400 Lows.
The Glenwood girls won five events and had several second place finishes. They won the meet by a 69 point margin over Harlan. Allison Koontz posted a sprint sweep in the 100 and 200. Abby Hughes topped the field by a comfortable margin in the 400M Hurdles. Relay wins came in the 4X100 and 4X200. They were 2nd in the 4X400, 4X800, Sprint Medley, and Shuttle Hurdle.
