(Corning) A Corning man faces attempted murder and other charges following a welfare check in Corning.
According to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, a family member requested a welfare check, and when deputies arrived, they found the victim of an alleged assault. This led to the arrest of 37-year-old Ashley Joe Cornelius of Corning. Authorities charged him with Attempted Murder, 3rd – Degree Kidnapping, Domestic Abuse, Assault with Strangulation, and Willful Injury.
Authorities are holding Cornelius on a $50,000 bond.
