(Cass Co.) The Cass County Board of Supervisors will hold two public hearings Friday morning.
The first public hearing begins at 9:00 a.m. on the authorizations of a Loan Agreement and the issuance of Notes to evidence the obligation of the County thereunder. The Capital Loan Notes are not to exceed $2,000,000. This is related to the Iowa Statewide Interoperable Communications System and the cost for a tower and maintenance.
The second public hearing will be held at 9:30 a.m. regarding vacating a portion of County Roadway; 570th Street contained within the State of Iowa right-of-way for Interstate 80.
Other items on the agenda include a Secondary Roads Update; Sheriff’s Office update including a resolution resetting the number of deputies and assistants in the Sheriff’s Office; approving County Medical Examiner’s appointment of an additional medical examiner investigator; Cass County Veteran Affairs report; Cass County Mental Health & General Relief report; and a resolution to enter into an agreement to abate taxes, penalties, interest and costs on county held tax sale certificate on a parcel now owned by the City of Massena.
