(Council Bluffs) A Council Bluffs man faces attempted murder charges in connection with a stabbing on Sunday night.
Police arrested 50-year old Dennis Ruppe for Attempted Murder, Willful Injury, Aggravated Assault, and 4th -degree Criminal Mischief. He was booked into the Pottawattamie County Jail.
Police responded to the report of a stabbing in the area of 21st Street and 3rd Avenue. When they arrived, the victim, 39-year old Carnell Walker of Council Bluffs, had several lacerations to his upper torso. Rescue crews transported Walker to an area trauma center. Medics treated Ruppe at the scene for a small laceration to his hand.
