(Clarinda) The Clarinda City Council held a public hearing Wednesday on the proposed plans, specifications and proposed form of contract for a project at Clarinda Municipal Airport –Schenck Field.
According to the Council minutes, the project includes rehabilitating runway 2/20, runway turnarounds, connecting taxiway A and Terminal Apron. There were no written or oral comments received at the public hearing. Following the hearing the Council approved the proposed plans.
The Council also awarded a contract for a pavement rehabilitation project at Clarinda Municipal Airport – Schenck Field. Manager McClarnon told the Council that there were seven good bids received. The Engineer checked over each bid and recommended awarding the low bid to Fahrner Asphalt Sealers, LLC with a bid of $242,059.06, which was well under the Engineer’s cost estimate.
