(Area) Pride of Iowa Conference officials released the boy’s basketball All-Conference selections today.
Five players from the Martensdale, St. Mary’s Class 1A state semifinal basketball team made the list of 1st or second-teamers, along with one honorable mention selection. Trey Baker, and Jaixen Franey, two seniors, were unanimous first-team picks, and junior Hogan Franey, and seniors Carson Elbert and Tucker TePoel, were named to the second team.
The other first-team selections included Mt Ayr sophomore Jaxen Frost and senior Erik Trujillo. Junior Matt Boothe of Central Decatur, sophomore Keaton England of Lenox, and senior Toby Bower of Nodaway Valley balanced out the first-team roster. Frost and Bower were both unanimous selections.
