Services for 99-year old Wayne Walter, of Jefferson will be held at the Garner Cemetery south of Bridgewater on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. with full military graveside rites conducted by the Greenfield American Legion Head-Endres Post No. 265 and V.F.W. Post No. 5357. The cemetery is located 2 miles south of Bridgewater on County Road N51, Adair County, Iowa. Due to COVID-19, Social Distancing will be practiced and the family encourages you to bring a lawn chair to the graveside service. Wayne Walter is survived by his four children, Dixie Boot of Plymouth, CA, Pamela Fisher and husband Richard of Sun City, AZ, Reggie Walter of Des Moines, IA and Rodney Walter and wife Nancy of Dalhart, TX.; 2 siblings, Eileen Hargus of Davenport, IA and Jerry Walter of Sun City, AZ; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
