(Cass Co.) The Cass County Board of Supervisors approved an overlay project on N28.
Technician Dennis Vogl said the project will span from Highway 83 to just north of Interstate 80.
In other action, the supervisors approved a request to fill a vacant Secondary Roads Operator 1 position.
They also approved the 2027 environmental health rate increases, which include increasing soil analysis and perc tests from $350 to $400; septic permits from $225 to $250; well permits from $200 to $225; repair permits from $125 to $150; and time-of-transfer inspections from $325 to $350.
The board approved moving forward with gathering information on the installation of electronic door locks on the courthouse exterior doors. They also tabled action on filling the vacant Office Assistant position in the Treasurer’s Office.
