(Cass Co.) Mobile food pantry distributions will be held in Atlantic and Massena on Wednesday, September 9th.
Distributions will be held at the following locations and times:
Atlantic: Cass County Fairgrounds, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Massena: East side of Massena City Park, 4:30 – 5:00 p.m
Community members are invited to attend and receive fresh and shelf-stable food items at no cost. The Mobile Food Pantry is designed to reduce barriers to food access while supporting individuals and families in meeting their nutritional needs.
As part of the distribution process, attendees will be asked to complete a brief intake form. This information is collected by The Food Bank for the Heartland to better understand community needs and improve services. Providing this information will not prevent anyone from receiving food, and there are no income requirements to participate. Once a household completes the initial intake at any participating location, future visits will be much quicker—neighbors will only need to state their name to be checked in at their respective pantry.
Whether you are visiting for the first time or returning, all are welcome. The Mobile Food Pantry strives to create a friendly, supportive environment for everyone in the community.
Community members are encouraged to follow the Cass County Local Food Policy Council Facebook page for updates on future distribution dates, locations, and other local food access initiatives. For additional information or questions, please contact Grace McAfee, Community Wellness Coordinator, at (712) 250-8170 or by email at mcage@casshealth.org.
