Taylor County Crash Claims the Life of a Missouri Man

(Taylor County) A Maryville, Missouri, man died in a single-vehicle crash in Taylor County on Monday.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at around 3:55 p.m., in the 3100 Block of Colt Avenue. Authorities say 41-year-old Scott P. Lance of Maryville, Missouri, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

According to the report, Lance was driving a 2008 Chevy Impala northbound in the southbound lane in the 3100 block of Colt Avenue when the car partially left the roadway to the left, re-entered the road, then left the roadway a second time, entered the ditch, and struck a tree.

Jeremy Lance was pronounced deceased at the scene.
