(Iowa) Deer tags go on on sale Saturday, August 15th.
John Lorenzen, with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, says tags can be purchases online at GoOutDoorsIowa.com, or at any area vendor that sells hunting and fishing licenses.
Meanwhile, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources is changing deer hunt regulations for eight counties in northwest Iowa where the deer population has declined. That area near Sioux City will be designated Zone B while the rest of the state falls under Zone A. General deer licenses in Zone B counties will only be valid for antlered bucks. The DNR says zones will remain in place until the deer population recovers.
