(Atlantic) The #8 Atlantic softball team takes its (29-6) record to (13-24) Sioux City, East tonight for a doubleheader.
Atlantic Head Coach Terry Hinzmann says the goal is to win the ballgames while working on some areas of the game before starting post-season play on Thursday.
Hinzmann says the Trojans split with East in a doubleheader last season in two close games.
The Trojans are hitting .367 as a team, led by Lila Wiederstein, batting an impressive .481; London Kirchhoff is batting .445; Jillian Saathoff is hitting .410; and Zoey Kirchhoff is batting .395.
Sioux City East is hitting .348, led by Katelyn Koppelman hitting .430, Kadence Farley hitting .393, and Aubree Foster hitting .370.
The first game starts at 5:00 p.m. in Sioux City.
