(Maryville, Missouri) Atlantic alum Taylor McCreedy, a senior at Northwest Missouri State University, capped her indoor season in standout fashion over the weekend. McCreedy was part of the Bearcats’ first-place Distance Medley Relay team at the MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Pittsburg State University.
The Distance Medley Relay consists of the 1200, 400, 800, and one-mile legs. McCreedy ran the 800-meter portion as the Bearcats crossed the finish line in 12:04.20. The relay lineup featured Mason Hartley, a former Clarinda standout, on the 1200; Audry Gibson on the 400; McCreedy on the 800; and Kiki Witt anchoring with the mile.
McCreedy joined the Northwest women’s program in 2023 after a highly successful junior college career at Iowa Central Community College. During her time there, she earned eight Junior College All-American honors — three in cross country/half marathon, four indoors, and one outdoors.
