(Atlantic) Iowa High School Girls’ Regional Wrestling Tournaments will be held across the state of Iowa tonight. The top two individuals in each weight class advance to the Iowa Girls’ State Wrestling Tournament on February 5 and February 6 at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa.
Atlantic is hosting a Class 1A tournament this afternoon. The first match starts at 4:00 p.m. The teams competing include Atlantic, ATU, Audubon, Clarinda, East Mills, Griswold, Logan-Magnolia/Woodbine, Missouri Valley, Red Oak, Riverside, Shenandoah, Sidney, SWAT, Treynor, West Central Valley, West Monona, and Woodward Granger.
Atlantic Head Girl’s Wrestling Coach Mike Greving says there is a lot of talent coming to Atlantic later this afternoon.
Coach Greving says practices were specialized this past week.
We will have the broadcast on KS 95.7 F.M. with the first report at around 4:20 p.m.
