(Atlantic) The Hawkeye Ten Conference Dual title is on the line tonight when Atlantic hosts conference foes St. Albert and Shenandoah. Southwest Iowa will also take part in the quadrangular.
The Trojans moved a step closer to the conference title last week when they edged Glenwood in a battle of conference undefeated teams, 36-35. Atlantic continued to build momentum with the team title at the John J. Harris Wrestling Tournament over the Weekend.
Atlantic Head Coach Tim Duff is proud of the way the team performed over the Weekend at Corning.
Atlantic will face Shenandoah in the first match at 5:00 p.m.
Duff says Shenandoah’s Jacob McGargill at 165 is probably one of the premier wrestlers in southwest Iowa.
Coach Duff says St. Albert has an outstanding wrestler, Sam Raymond, at 157, who should be a good match for Harter of Atlantic. He says the SWI team has several good wrestlers and will have a solid lineup filling most of the weights.
The Trojans have four ranked wrestlers according to the latest from iawrestle.com. Dayton Van Horn is rated #12th at 106, Keaton Schroeder is rated #10th at 120, Braxton Hass is rated #6 at 132, and Jayden Harter is #9th at 157.
We will broadcast the meet tonight on KS 95.7 F.M. and stream the live video on westerniowatoday.com TV and YouTube. Pre-match coverage starts at 4:45.
