(Atlantic) Atlantic archery athlete Miraylie Stuart had her future seemingly planned, with her sights set on attending an agricultural institution. That plan changed, however, after she visited the Buena Vista University campus.
Stuart was first introduced to archery in seventh grade during the COVID-19 pandemic, when she was homeschooled and spent most of her days inside. She said she disliked being confined to the house until an email inviting student-athletes to try out for the Atlantic archery team arrived.
Buena Vista University Head Archery Head Coach Conner Ellinghuysen commented on several former Atlantic Archery team members who have chosen to continue their athletic careers with the Beavers.
Coach Ellinghuysen also commented on the significance of Stuart joining the program, noting her role in strengthening the archery team while also contributing to the growth of Buena Vista University’s agricultural program.
Miraylie Stuart plans to major in animal science with a minor in agricultural business at Buena Vista University.
