(Shenandoah) Three Atlantic players scored in double figures as the Trojans defeated Shenandoah 48–41 on Friday night.
Atlantic capitalized on its strong inside play throughout the contest. Six-foot senior Katrina Williams led the Trojans with 15 points, while 5-foot-11 senior Brynn Lamp added 12. Makenna Schroeder chipped in 10 points, including a pair of three-point baskets. Shenandoah was paced by Kalyn Scamman, who finished with a game-high 22 points.
The opening quarter was tightly contested, featuring five lead changes and four ties. Shenandoah held a slim 15–14 advantage at the end of the period, with Scamman scoring seven of the Fillies’ 15 points. Schroeder and Williams each scored five for Atlantic, while Lamp contributed four.
Atlantic gained momentum in the second quarter, outscoring Shenandoah 9–7 to pull even at 22–22 heading into halftime. The Trojans closed out the third quarter on an 8-1 run, outscoring the Fillies 17-7, and took a 39-29 lead.

The Fillies made a late push in the fourth quarter, using an 11–3 run to cut the Trojans’ lead to 42–40, sparked by eight points from Scamman in the final period. Atlantic responded when it mattered most, outscoring Shenandoah 6–1 down the stretch to seal the 48–41 victory. Makenna Schroeder splashed down a key three-point shot down the stretch to pace the Trojans.
Atlantic, now 5-5 overall and 3–2 in conference play, will host Glenwood on Tuesday. Shenandoah, 7–3 overall and 1–3 in the conference, travels to Fremont-Mills on Thursday before wrapping up the week with a road game at Glenwood on Friday.
