(Leon) The Atlantic Varsity and Middle School won team titles at the Central Decatur Bullseye Archery Tournament in Leon.
The Atlantic varsity squad shot 3265, edging Valley, finishing with a 3263. Chariton ended up third with 3030, and Creston fourth with a 2965.
Hunter Quist led Atlantic with a fifth-place finish (Boys and Girls Combined) with a score of 283, a personal best for Quist. Michael Hocamp finished in tenth place, shooting a 278, Grant Petty, 11th, 277, and Madeline Blake, 12th, with a score of 277.
Quist finished fourth in the high school boys division, top shooter among senior-class competitors, and fourth overall out of 187 competitors. Hocamp finished seventh out of 70 high school boys competing, second among the junior class entered, and seventh among the 187 boys in the competition. Petty ended eighth in the boys’ division, third among the 11th graders, and eighth out of the 187 boys competing.
Madeline Blake finished fourth in the High School Girl’s Division, ranked second among the high school senior girls, and fifth out of 184 females in the competition. Elynor Brummer finished sixth in the girls’ division, fourth among 12th-grade girls, and seventh overall in the female division. Gabrielle Engler finished seventh in the girls’ rankings, fourth amongst the 12th-grade girls competing, and seventh out of 184 girls in the tournament.

The Atlantic Middle School finished first with 2995 points, led by Collin O’Donnell finishing fifth with a 271, and Gabe McBride, ninth, shooting a 270.
O’Donnell finished 15th out of 187 (high school and middle school shooters). Gabe McBride finished fifth in the middle school boys division, third amongst 7th graders, and 15th overall. Bryan Caudill finished 10th in the Middle School Boys division, 4th among the 8th-grade boys, and 39th overall in the boys’ competition.
Kira Malley finished ninth in the middle school girls’ division, fifth amongst the 8th-grade girls, and 29th overall. Alicia Juhl finished 10th out of 76 middle school girls competing, 6th among the 8th-grade girls, and 32nd overall.

Diagonal finished second with a 2975, Creston on third, 2973, Chariton, fourth, 2962, Stillwell, fifth, 2927, Nodaway Valley sixth, 2893, and East Union, seventh with a score of 2576.
