(Atlantic) Atlantic Head Girl’s Basketball Coach Dan Varagson and his staff and squad are going to take advantage of the Christmas Holiday break to regroup. The Trojans ended the first portion of the season with a 4-5 record.
The Trojans ended the pre-holiday break with losses to Kuemper (59-46), Lewis Central (48-46), and Nodaway Valley (67-63). Coach Vargason says the team will also work on conditioning.
Coach Vargason mentioned that he does not think anyone in the locker room is satisfied with being 4-5 at this point in the season.
The Trojans are averaging 47.56 points per game, while allowing the opposition 51 points per contest.
Zoey Kirchhoff leads the team, averaging 11.11 points per game, Katrina Williams, 9.56, Makenna Schroeder, 8.56, Madison McLaren, 5.22, Peyton McLaren, 4.78, Jillian Saathoff, 3.88, Brynn Lamp, 2.78, Kaitlynn Hickman, 1.67, and Jayden Franken, 1.33.
The Trojans travel to Shenandoah on January 2.
