(Audubon, IA) — After losing their first three games, Audubon Boys Basketball has won two in a row and Head Coach Darran Miller is confident his team is settling down into a rhythm. The first three games were losses to tough teams — Audubon had a chance to beat Coon Rapids Bayard in the opener but the Crusaders pulled it out 54-49. Underwood and Treynor ran away from Audubon in blowout wins. The Wheelers turned it around with victories against Greene County and Missouri Valley and Miller believes his team can compete with anybody if they stay balanced
Sophomore Aiden Kjergaard had a big football season and he is having a great start to the basketball season, leading Audubon averaging 12.8 points a game. Miller says he has a high basketball IQ
Sophomore Jorgen Nowatzke comes off the bench at 12 ppg; Senior Brody Schultes has shown his versatility at 10.5 ppg and 3.8 assists per game. Miller likes his rotation with 7-8 guys a game. On Friday night, they visit Ben Ramsey and IKM Manning and Miller says its not just Ramsey you got to worry about
Audubon will then play Tri Center on Friday, December 19 at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs, their last game before the winter break.
