(Griswold, IA) — Griswold Boys Wrestling Head Coach Bob Amos has seen progress in his team this week. The Tigers do not have any seniors on varsity — there are 7 juniors and 2 freshmen overall. Amos says the team struggled int their first tournament last weekend but saw some progress in the CAM duals on Tuesday. Griswold will have to go this season without Senior leader RJ Dishong who suffered an injury during football season but Amos says he is still helping out
With Dishong out, Amos has been looking for leaders on the mat and Juniors Launie Smith and Alex Rasmussen has qualified
Other juniors include Hayden Jones, Quinton Wilson, Hudson Perkins, Dane Carey and Jaden Jensen. Freshman Sladynn Jones has wrestled at 106 and finished 2nd at the Treynor tournament last weekend
Amos’ son Freshman Gunner Amos rounds out the line up for Griswold. The Tigers will compete tonight in Sidney in a quad with Southwest Iowa, CAM and Southwest Valley.
