(Corning, IA) — Southwest Valley hosted a girls wrestling quad on Tuesday night with Atlantic, Griswold and SWAT. SWAT was the big winner going 3-0 with a 42-18 win over Atlantic; a 36-23 win over the Timberwolves and a 60-0 win over Griswold. Erin South went 2-0 with 2 falls; Stella Beattie went 2-0 with 2 falls; and Destiny Fry won her only match by fall.
Southwest Valley went 2-1 beating Atlantic 30-24 and beating Griswold 30-12. Kenzie Maeder went 3-0 with 3 falls; Joselynn Benge was 2-0 with 2 falls and Deklyn Mullen was 2-0 with 2 falls.
Atlantic did beat Griswold 30-12 to go 1-2. Haley Armstrong beat Megan Gerlock of SWAT by fall in 52 seconds and got a fall over Aleah Smith of Griswold in 17 seconds. Leiah Thomas won her only match by fall at 1:17 over Lilly Barber of SWAT. Alivia Knuth went 2-1 with 2 falls. Josephine Miller went 1-1 with a fall.
