(Neola, IA) — Tri Center hosted girls and boys wrestling action in the WIC on Tuesday night.
On the boys side, AHSTW only had Nikko Stearns compete on the mat and went 1-1 with a 15-10 win. Tri Center beat the Vikings 41-12 and Underwood topped AHSTW 60-15. The Eagles went 2-0 beating Tri Center 62-17. Pins went to Owen Fletcher and Kaleb Nelson. Carter Gittins of Tri Center went 2-0 with a fall and a tech fall.
For the girls, it was a triangular between ATU (AHSTW, Tri Center, Underwood), Logan Magnolia-Woodbine and Missouri Valley. The Lady Reds were the winners beating ATU 66-12 and won over LoMa 36-30. The Panthers beat ATU 48-33.
ATU’s Trinity Bret won her only match 7-2; Annabel Baxter went 1-1 with a win by fall in 15 seconds.
For Logan Magnolia-Woodbine, Whitney Hawkins was 2-0 with 2 falls, Teagan Carritt 2-0 with 2 falls and Mary Bowman won her only match by fall.
