(Villisca, IA) — A two vehicle accident with no injuries occurred on Thursday morning near Villisca. At just before 8:00 am, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office says that a 2011 Ford F-150 pick up truck was travelling westbound on West 4th Street — as the vehicle approached the intersection of W. 4th and U Ave, the Ford skidded on the slick roadway and failed to come to a stop. The pick up did have an attached trailer and collided with a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 truck and disabled the vehicle.
The Ford pick up and trailer is owned and operated by Axel Eugen McCuen of Villisca who was cited for no insurance accident related. The Ford sustained approximately $2500 in damages. The Dodge Ram belongs to Douglas Dewey Scott of Villisca and sustained damage in estimate of $5500 and had to be towed from the scene.
