Carol Marie Dreyer, born on June 14, 1940, to Fred and Dorothy (Pace) Hauger, passed away on December 1, 2025, at the age of 85 at the Oakland Manor Nursing Home in Oakland, IA. Carol spent her early years in Treynor and graduated from Treynor High School in 1958. She married Gary Allen Dreyer on June 21, 1958, and together they raised four children: Teresa, David, Brian, and Randall.
Carol was a dedicated worker, contributing to her community through various jobs at Supervalue, JAC’s Steakhouse, the Bowling Alley, and by cleaning numerous homes and businesses for over two decades. She was a member of the Oakland Christian Church and enjoyed spending time with friends and family, cooking, reading recipes, and solving word searches.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Gary, her parents, and her siblings Ed, Lois, Jean, and Jim.
Carol is survived by her children Teresa Schueman and husband Rod, David Dreyer, Brian Dreyer, and Randall Dreyer and wife Paula; her grandchildren Cody (Lauren), Colby, Jace (Katie), and Garrison; and her great-grandchildren London, Caelen, Declan, Dixon, Blakeley, and a baby Dreyer on the way, along with many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Oakland Christian Church, with interment following at the Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation with the family will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 4-6 PM at the Oakland Christian Church. Rieken Vieth Funeral Home in Oakland is assisting the family during this time.
