(Adair County, IA) — At Wednesday’s meeting, The Adair County Board of Supervisors approved a request to recover some of the tracks from the Jesse James Historical Site for redistribution. The board heard from writer Gene Stevens who says that a portion of the railway is caught in rubble along Turkey Creek, and it could be redistributed to different historical sites and museums in the country. All parties agreed that the Adair County Historical Museum in Greenfield would receive a portion of the railroad. The Adair County Board of Supervisors will continue to meet on most Wednesdays at 9:00 A.M.
