(Panora, IA) — It was an evenly matched triangular to open the season as Nodaway Valley, Coon Rapids Bayard and Panorama each walked away with a win on Tuesday night.
The Wolverines beat CRB 41-35, the Panthers edged NV 36-32 and the Crusaders got by Panorama 54-24.
Nodaway Valley was led by two time state champ Ashton Honnold who went 2-0 with 2 falls; Caleb Christensen was 2-0 with 2 falls; Ty Strode was 2-0 with 2 tech falls; Josh Nelson won his only match by fall; and Thomas herrick was 2-0 with a fall and 13-9 win.
Coon Rapids Bayard was led by Ethan Bauer who was 2-0 with a fall and tech fall; Ezra Cortez was 2-0 with 2 falls and Jackson Reich won his only match by fall.
Panorama had 3 undefeated wrestlers on the night — Nate Spencer 2-0 with 2 falls; Blake Schwartz was 2-0 with a fall and 17-14 win; Eli Cooper won his only match by fall.
