(Guthrie Center, IA) — AC/GC Boys Basketball team lost a lot of talent off last year’s substate finals team. Four starters are gone — Jathan South, Payton Policky, Noah Kading and Mason Wahl have all graduated and that is a total of 55 points a game. So Head Coach Lance Kading will have to retool and reload this season. The one returning starter is Senior Joe Crawford (11.9 ppg) and he and fellow Senior Tommy Skram are ready to step to the #1 role this year
Skram (4.9 ppg) was 34 percent three point shooter off the bench and has confident in his shooting abilities
AC/GC will have to play without Junior Jonny Kading (1,8 ppg) to start the season because of a knee injury — he expects to be a contributor when he returns
Head Coach Lance Kading says that Junior Preston Kent will be a starter and Senior Blaize Dorsey will compete for playing time but Kading says there a lot of guys that will be vying for playing time
Overall Kading is pleasantly surprised with the improvement the guys have shown
AC/GC will open the season on Tuesday December 2nd hosting West Central Valley
