(Red Oak) Fire Departments from Red Oak, Stanton, and Elliot responded to a field fire this afternoon at around 1:30 p.m. at 170th Street and M Avenue for a harvested corn field fire.
Firefighters were able to make a quick knockdown, resulting in the fire not spreading to adjacent fields, of a corn pile.
Firefighters terminated the incident at 2 p.m. without incident.
There were no injuries and no property damage.
The Montgomery County Communications were also mentioned as an assisting agency.
