(Pottawattamie Co) The Pottawattamie County Board of Supervisors signed a proclamation supporting Operation Green Light for Veterans the week of November 4-11.
The proclamation honors the service and sacrifices of military veterans and those transitioning from active duty to civilian life. During the week, the county will light its buildings in green as a visible show of support, and residents and businesses are encouraged to display green lights to recognize veterans.

The initiative aligns with a national effort by the National Association of Counties to raise awareness of the challenges service members face after leaving the military, including stress and suicide risk, and to express gratitude for their continued contributions to communities.
