(Lee County) Five people were transported to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash in Lee County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened on Sunday morning on Northbound Iowa 27 near the nine-mile marker. Authorities identified the injured occupants as 32-year-old Nathan T. Oden, 29-year-old Amanda M. Hufnagle, and three juveniles, ages 11, 5, and 3. All five occupants are from Union Grove, Alabama.
According to the report, Amanda Hufnagle was driving a 2010 Chrysler Sebring northbound on Highway 27 when the car drifted onto the left shoulder. Hufnagle overcorrected and slid across the northbound lanes and entered the east ditch. The car overturned and came to rest on its wheels. A Juvenile passenger in the rear seat was ejected from the car.
Fort Madison Ambulance transported the five people to the Fort Madison Hospital.
