(Elk Horn, IA) — The Class 1A Volleyball Playoffs begin tonight and in Region 6, CAM visits Exira EHK, coverage on KSOM.
CAM finished in 4th place in the Rolling Valley tournament on Saturday and is led by Junior Ruthie Rich with 143 kills and Junior Ada Hansen with 110 kills. Hansen is hitting at a .154 efficiency rate. Junior Courtney Follman makes the offense go with 313 assists and also leads the defense with 209 digs.
CAM Head Coach Hillary Zimmerline felt like her team did not play with much energy against Exira EHK in the regular season meeting. She also expects her team to be much more efficient in the hitting game this time around
Exira EHK is led by Jaelynn Petersen with 293 kills, 164 digs, 43 blocks, and 30 aces plus Taryn Petersen with 219 kills, 205 digs, 19 blocks and 46 aces — both cousins — and Zimmerline needs her girls to identify where they are at all times
The Spartans swept the Cougars two weeks ago 25-16, 25-11, 25-17 but Exira EHK Head Coach Derek Reischauer expects a much tougher match tonight
