(Avoca) Certified enrollment in the AHSTW School District is down slightly this year.
Superintendent Darin Jones said the number of resident full-time students—which includes district residents who attend school there and resident students who open enroll out—dropped by 26 this year. Open enrollment numbers remained relatively the same as last year. Jones said actual resident enrollment, which includes both open enrolled-out students and those attending in the district, is 761, compared to last year’s total of 788.2.
Jones said this is not different from other districts in the area or across the state.
Jones said more details on the enrollment numbers and data will be posted on the school website following the school board meeting next week.
