Des Moines Man Arrested After Police Find Hidden Camera In Porta-Potty

(Marshall County) — A Des Moines man is accused of placing a hidden camera in two porta-potties in Des Moines and State Center.  Authorities say Tyler Pavlick allegedly placed a concealed camera in a portable toilet during a West Marshall Community School District cross-country event at Valley Golf Course last month.  Des Moines police say a similar incident happened during the Harvest and Handmade Fair when a camera was found in a porta-potty at Water Works Park.  The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and the Des Moines Police Department collaborated during the investigation, which led to the arrest of Pavlick on Wednesday.  He now faces several counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and invasion of privacy, as authorities ask potential victims who attended either event to contact the respective departments.
