(Clearfield, IA) — Officials are investigating a massive fire at a Clearfield farm that killed over 100-thousand of chickens. The fire broke out at Daybreak Foods on Tuesday and spread to multiple buildings throughout the facility. Investigators say more than 110-thousand-chickens were inside a housing barn that burned to the ground. Over 100 firefighters from more than 25 departments responded to the blaze, as crews worked to extinguish it through the night. The cause of the fire and an official count of chicken losses have yet to be determined.
