(Villisca) Villisca Fire Chief John Bruce reports on Sunday evening, the Villisca, New Market, and Corning Fire Departments responded to the 1300 block of Elk Avenue for a field fire.
Chief Bruce says crews were able to contain and extinguish the fire without incident quickly. He mentioned that the Villisca Fire Department deployed its new side-by-side, which greatly assisted in fire suppression operations.
There were no injuries or loss of property.
The Montgomery County Communications, Adams County Communications, and the Taylor County Communications assisted.
