(Des Moines) The National Weather Service in Des Moines issued a Winter Weather Advisory for west central Iowa from 9:00 p.m. this evening to 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
The counties in west central Iowa include Harrison, Shelby, Crawford, Monona, Carroll, Audubon, and Guthrie.
Forecasters are calling for rain during the day, gradually transitioning to snow this evening. Total snow accumulations will be two to six inches, possibly higher near the South Dakota border.
Roadways will more than likely become slick and hazardous. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute.
