(Portsmouth) The Portsmouth Fire Department, along with the Harlan and Shelby Fire Departments, were called to a house fire at 5:00 Wednesday morning, in the midst of a blizzard.
The Portsmouth Fire Department says the initial call came in as a structure fire with possible entrapment, but as information was coming in, and shortly after going en route, it was confirmed that nobody was inside.
Upon arrival, the the structure was a total loss. The cause of the fire is undetermined, but the Portsmouth Fire Department said it possibly could have been started by a space heater.
