(State) A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of southwest Iowa from 9:00 a.m. this morning through this evening.
The National Weather Service says light freezing rain and drizzle are expected to develop across southern Iowa and expand northward during the afternoon hours. A light glaze of ice is expected before the precipitation ends this evening.
Total ice accumulations up to one-tenth of an inch.
Difficult travel conditions are possible and could impact this evening’s commute. Slow down and use caution while traveling. Prepare for potential power outages.
